Virtual Actions menu
Virtual actions are the applications you setup to run from within the virtual environment. These actions can be any application in the sequence or on the local machine.
Virtual Actions options
On the options screen you specify which virtual actions you want to see on your menu. You can specify parameters as well and even use environment variables.
Cross server OSDs
Many companies have not only a production environment, but also a development and possibly a uat one. Wouldn't it be great if you could run a virtual application from a different environment than the one you are currently logged into? With SoftBar, you can do just this.
First, add your environment's server info including the server name and software content path. Next, add as many SoftGrid applications as you would like and they will show in SoftBar just like the others. As a notifier, the server name will be showed next to the application name when you mouse over (see the 'icon only view' screenshot).
Command line options
Use SoftGrid applications in batch files and scripts! It has never been easier to utilize virtual applications just as you do locally installed applications. This is only confined by your imagination. Have you sequenced Visual Studio and want to compile your code without opening the IDE? Do you want to script the conversion of documents to pdf format after virtualizing a pdf creator? All of this is possible.
